1).Uchch Shiksha Loan Yojana in Haryana for Poor Girl Students

The state government of Haryana has launched a scheme named as “Uchch Shiksha Loan Yojana” or the Higher Education Loan Scheme for poor girl students across the state. The main objective of this scheme is to provide loan facility to those girls who have left their studies incomplete for not being able to pay the fee amount of higher studies.
Under Uchch Shiksha Loan Yojana, the state government will provide financial assistance to needy girl students to complete their higher studies. The scheme will be operated by the authority of Women Development Corporation, Haryana.
The scheme will help encourage the girl students especially from the backward classes and economically weaker section to pursue higher studies, achieve their career goals and be independent. The education loan for higher studies under the scheme will be provided at a subsidized interest rate of only 5% per annum.

Eligibility for Uchch Shiksha Loan Yojana

Below is the eligibility criteria for Haryana Higher Education Loan Scheme or Uchch Shiksha Loan Yojana
  • The applicant should be the permanent residence of Haryana.
  • The applicant should be at least 12th passed.
  • The benefit of the scheme will be provided only to the girl students in the state.
  • The age of girl should be 18 years or above.
  • The financial assistance would be provided only for higher studies.
According to the official data, the literacy rate in Haryana is 67.91 percent, which is higher than the National average of 64.80 percent. The literacy rate for males is 78.49 percent and females is 55.73 percent which is also higher than the national average.
The literacy rate among SC / ST is 55.45 percent which is lower than the national average. Literacy rate among SC / ST female is only 42.26 percent. However, male literacy (66.93 percent) is much higher than the female literacy among SC / ST.

  • Girl students will get loan only at 5% interest rate.
  • This scheme will motivate the girls for higher studies.
  • The women employees of Haryana government will also be eligible for this scheme if the want to pursue higher studies.
  • The beneficiaries of this loan scheme also will be eligible for higher education in abroad.
Unfortunately, the women are facing many problems including rape, discrimination, inequality etc. throughout the country. To overcome these issues, government should formulate a policy which provide equal opportunity for the girls.
This scheme will surely improve the condition and encourage the more women / girls to become educated.

2).Haryana Govt. will Soon Launch Medical Insurance Scheme For Poor

Chief Minister of Haryana has made an announcement that the state govt. will soon launch a Medical Insurance Scheme for poor citizens in the state. Under this scheme, the government will provide financial assistance to make surgeries affordable for poor patients.
According to the notification, a survey will be carried out by the administration. The survey will get started from 1 August to seek beneficiaries.
The surgical facility is very costly for common man and mostly the operations are conducted by private hospitals. To bring down the cost of surgery operation, Haryana govt. has announced the medical insurance scheme.

Objective of Medical Insurance Scheme

The main purpose of the scheme is to provide affordable operation of surgeries and bring down the burden on the head of the poor people. Under this scheme, a nominal premium will have to be paid by the patient’s family and the remaining payment would be collected from the insurance company.
Last year in the state budget, Haryana government had increased the finance to the medical education and health services expenditure by more than 15 percent. The govt. has also made a provision of Rs 3,839 crore in the budget.
According to the official notification, currently Haryana government is providing 570 medicines free of cost in government hospitals in the state. Also the state government is planning to set up more government medical colleges in all districts across the state with assistance from the Center.
The Haryana government is also planning to provide modern healthcare services through medical colleges. Through this scheme, the state govt. will strengthen the hand of financially poor people and would provide good healthcare service to them.

3).Rooftop Solar Plant Subsidy Scheme in Haryana – Apply Online at hareda.gov.in

Haryana State government has announced Rooftop Solar Plant Scheme and the applications are being invited through online mode. The motive of this scheme is to motivate the people to choose for green energy. The Department of Renewable Energy is responsible for formulating policies and programmes necessary for renewable sources of energy in the State.
The objective of the scheme is to promote green building design for efficient use of energy in housing, commercial and industrial sector. Installation of solar power plant is mandatory in certain categories of buildings in Haryana. To increase the capacity of solar power energy for energy security.
Rooftop Solar Plant Scheme has a target to add grid connected solar power generation of 3000 MW by 2017 and 20,000 MW by 2022. Annual capacity of insolation in state is 4.6 kWh/m2/day. The project is aimed at fighting with the climate change issue and motivate to develop the green energy.

Apply Online for Rooftop Solar Plant Scheme

People in Haryana can apply online for rooftop solar plant installation through the official website of Haryana Renewable Energy department at www.hareda.gov.in. Below is the complete procedure to fill the online application form
STEP 1: Visit the official website at www.hareda.gov.in.
STEP 2: Click on the Apply Online banner in the right side or directly visit this link.
STEP 3: Click on “Login” and then on “Sign Up” link.
STEP 4: A new page will open, fill all the mandatory information and click “Submit” button.
STEP 5: After clicking “SUBMIT” button, you will receive an OTP on your given mobile number, enter the correct OTP and click “SUBMIT”.
STEP 6: Your sign up is complete, now login to make the application for Rooftop Solar Plant.

Subsidy under Rooftop Solar Plat Scheme in Haryana

The state government is providing 30% of benchmark cost as subsidy under the scheme. The maximum subsidy per KWp is Rs. 20000 for all residential, institutional and social sector.

4).Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Haryana Application Forms Invited for Demand Survey

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana demand survey application forms are now being invited in Haryana for selection of eligible beneficiaries. The state government is inviting application forms for PMAY demand survey through local bodies from June 1. The last date of the submission of application forms for PMAY demand survey is 15 July, 2017.
The selected beneficiaries would be entitled to get Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana benefits under the following four components:
1. Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme
2. Affordable Housing Scheme
3. Self construction or expansion of house
4. Slum re-development scheme

How to Apply for PMAY Demand Survey in Haryana

The interested candidates can visit the office of local town development department where all the details about the application forms and documents submission can be found. The department would conduct ward wise demand survey for PMAY beneficiary selection. If the applicant is unable to submit their documents/demand in the ward, he/she can visit the local town development department between 1 June and 15 July.
Online applicants would have to present all the required documents at the department office before the set date failing which the application will automatically be cancelled.
Application forms for PMAY demand survey would be provided to the applicants by the department officials in the ward itself or the department office.


5).Haryana Announces Pension Scheme for Journalists

A new pension scheme for journalists has been announced by the Chief Minister of Haryana Mr. Manohar Lal Khattar along with some other incentives. The new monthly pension scheme was announced by the CM while addressing “Swarna Jayanti Journalist’s Meet” in Panchkula.
Under the new pension scheme for journalists, the state government would provide a monthly pension of Rs. 10000 to those who are above 60 years of age and have completed at least 20 years in the journalism profession.
The government also announced a life insurance cover of Rs. 10 Lakh and a mediclaim policy of Rs. 5 Lakh.
The journalists who have completed at least 5 years in the profession would be given recognition by the government. The representatives of online news portals would also be given recognition through the new policy to be framed.
New monthly pension scheme would come into effect once it is officially launched by the Haryana state government. More details such as application procedure, eligibility criteria, scheme guidelines would be available as soon as the scheme is launched.

6).Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Haryana Demnad Survey Applications to Start Soon

State government of Haryana has decided to conduct demand survey for the central government’s flagship affordable housing scheme “Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana”. The demand survey would be conducted in urban areas for identification of beneficiaries for providing affordable housing under PMAY.
Decision of conducting demand survey for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was taken during a recent meeting help between the officials from urban local bodies and the chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar. The eligibility of the applicants would be as per the guidelines of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana defined by the ministry of housing and urban poverty alleviation.

PM Awas Yojana Haryana – Eligibility Criteria

The following applicants would be eligible to participate for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana demand survey
  • People living in urban areas and were residents of the state as on 17 June 2015.
  • People belonging to EWS, LIG and MIG and living in urban areas would be eligible for Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme under PMAY.
  • The applicants should have Aadhar Card and a bank account.
  • The applicant or his/her family should not own a pucca house in any other locality.
  • The applicant should not have already benefited under any state or central housing scheme.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Haryana Application Forms

However, it is not confirmed but in the age of digitization, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana application forms for demand survey in Haryana might be invited through online mode. The online application forms would be available on official website of Haryana Government.
The details about PMAY demand survey application forms in Haryana would be available soon after announcement by the state government.
The demand survey application forms are also being invited through the official website of PMAY at pmaymis.gov.in for assessment of candidates for PMAY benefits.

7).Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana – Accidental Insurance Scheme in Haryana

Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, a flagship accidental insurance scheme of central government has been launched by the state government of Haryana to provided accidental insurance cover to all citizens of Haryana. Under PMSBY Haryana, the government will provide an insurance amount upto Rs. 2 lakh each insured candidate in case of accidental death, and disability (complete/half loss of eye-sight or loss of both hands/feet) due to an accident.
Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana is one of the most affordable insurance schemes launched by the prime minister to provide  insurance cover to all the citizens of India at very low premium. Besides this, two more such kind of schemes are running across the nation named as Atal Pension Yojana and Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana.

Benefits of Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana

An insurance cover of Rs. 2 lakh will be given to the person in case of accidental death.
In case of complete loss of eye-sight of both eyes or loss of both hands/feet due to the accident, the scheme will provide an insurance amount of Rs. 2 lakh.
If the person loses his eye-sight of one eye or loses one hand/feet in the accident, an insurance cover of Rs. 1 lakh will be provided under the PMSBY scheme.
To get the above insurance covers, the applicants will have to pay the annual premium of Rs. 12 only.

Eligibility Criteria of PMSBY Haryana

  • To be eligible for the scheme, the applicant will have to fulfill the following eligibility of the insurance scheme.
  • The applicant should be an adult (18+ Years) to get the insurance cover under the scheme.
  • The maximum age to get the insurance cover in the scheme is 70 years (nearest birthday).
  • The applicant must have a saving bank account linked with his/her Aadhaar Card. Aadhaar is a primary KYC for the bank account and insurance coverage.

Enrollment Period for PMSBY

The premium of Rs. 12 will be deducted from the account holder’s savings bank account through ‘auto-debit’ facility on or before 1st June each year for the coverage of one year. And the government will deposit the insurance cover to the beneficiary’s account through the direct credit policy.
The insurance coverage would be for one year period stretching from 1 June to 31 May.
Consent form to join, pay, auto-debit from the designated savings bank account on the prescribed forms will be required to be given by the beneficiary by May 31 of every year.

Termination of Cover under PMSBY

The insurance cover of PMSBY will be terminated if
  • The beneficiary attains the age of 70 years.
  • Closing of bank beneficiary’s bank account due to insufficient balance.
  • In case, the beneficiary is covered through more than one of his/her accounts.


8).Haryana e-Seva App Download for Information on all Haryana Scheme

Haryana Government has launched e-Seva app for android mobile phones and is available for download from Google Play Store. The e-Seva app is an initiative of Haryana government to provide all the information about all the government services and welfare schemes. The app provides all the information about major welfare schemes and programmes being run by several departments of Haryana Government.

The e-Seva app contains information about 250+ welfare schemes and programmes run by 30 different departments of the state government. The app displays important information pertaining to application processing, documentation required and requisite fee and more about all the schemes and services.

The e-Seva app can be downloaded by visiting the following link in your desktop or mobile device.
Information about more welfare schemes of other departments will also be added to the app in coming days. The app will help people who are making frequent rounds to the government offices for taking information about such schemes and programmes.
The e-Seva app will also allow people to check the status of their complaint at CM Windows and they would also be able to share their feedback/suggestions about the schemes/programmes of Haryana Government.

9).Saksham Yuva Scheme Haryana to Benefit Science Graduates from 1 April

The state government of Haryana has decided to broader the cover of Saksham Yuva Scheme in Haryana by including science graduates under the scheme. The decision will come into effect from 1st April 2017. To create more job opportunities for the employed youth in Haryana, private sector will also be involved in the scheme.
Till now, the scheme was providing Rs 9,000 per month in lieu of 100 hours of work to unemployed postgraduates.
The decision was taken by Haryana CM, Manohar Lal Khattar after taking a review of scheme functioning. Through Saksham Yuva Scheme in Haryana, the private sector could find the best capable youth to meet their requirement.
As the private sector demands a lot of educated youth and the scheme could help them to find the perfect person to cater their requirement.
On 27 March 2017, the government has also organized a 5-days employment fair ‘Haryana Industrial Trade Expo (HITEX)-2017’ at Faridabad. Many leading entrepreneurs are participating in the job fair to pick the person for their profession.
Maximum youth participating in the scheme has registered themselves on the portal of ‘Saksham Yuva’ Haryana at hreyahs.gov.in to get employment.
Employment Department has also been directed to come up with an online mechanism to provide prompt approval to the requisitions under the scheme.

10).Mangal Nagar Vikas Yojana for Development of Urban Areas in Haryana

Haryana government has announced a new scheme named as “Mangal Nagar Vikas Yojana” for the development of urban areas. The announcement was made during the presentation of Haryana Budget for the financial year 2017-18.
The scheme ‘Mangal Nagar Vikas Yojana’ announced on the name of Late Dr. Mangal Sein, former Deputy Chief Minister and a great leader of Haryana.

Under this scheme, the government will create modern infrastructure and also take care of existing infrastructure in urban areas. For Mangal Nagar Vikas Yojana, the government has earmarked an outlay of Rs. 1,000 crore for 2017-18.
The government has also launched a scheme in the name of Sir Chhotu Ram for the development of villages. All India Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti (AIJASS) has welcomed the move of the government to launch a scheme for rural areas in the name of Sir Chhotu Ram. The scheme is named as Deenbandhu Haryana Gram Uday Yojana under which 1500 villages would be developed.
The state has about 6,000 villages having a population of 3,000 to 10,000 but a provision of Rs 1,200 crore for 1,500 villages has been provided under the scheme.
