Including him, 12 out of the 18 MP chief ministers have belonged to the Indian National Congress. The longest-serving chief minister is current incumbent Shivraj Singh Chouhan of the Bharatiya Janata Party, who has served since 2005.

MADHYA PRADESH GOVERNMENT SCHEMES 

1. Medhavi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana Laptop Distribution Scheme 2017 in Madhya Pradesh

 Madhya Pradesh government has started laptop distribution under the Medhavi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana 2017 for those students who are securing higher marks in class 12th. This scheme will encourage more students to achieve higher marks in class 12th and pursue higher studies in college.
Under Medhavi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana, state government will provide Rs. 25000 to purchase new laptops for those students who will achieve minimum 85% marks in class 12th from MP education Board. This scheme is being run by school education department of Madhya Pradesh since 2009.
In addition to this, students belonging to SC/ST communities need to secure at least 75% marks to be eligible for the scheme. The family income of the student should not be more than Rs. 6 lakh per annum from all sources.

Eligibility for Medhavi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana

The state government will provide scheme benefits only to the eligible students which can be checked using the below procedure.
  • To check the eligibility for scheme, visit the official website at shiksha.samagra.gov.in
  • Student have to click on “Laptop” link in right side on website and then click on “Yojana” link.
  • After click on “Check Your Eligibility” link or directly click here, then enter Roll no. of 12th class to get the scheme details.
Moreover, students can check their account opening status and account number by clicking on “Check Your Account Number”. This account will be opened by state government for Meritorious students of class 12th of MP Board.

Check Payment Status

Further, eligible students can check the payment status by clicking on “View Your Payment Status” link and entering 12th class roll number. Amount will be transferred by state government as fixed in Medhavi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana to purchase laptop. Below is the direct link to check the status of payment Furthermore, students can complain or ask any question regarding the scheme by clicking on “Register Grievance” link. The purpose of Register Grievance on portal is that no single student be left if they are eligible to get benefit of scheme.

2. Mukhyamantri Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana for Farmers in Madhya Pradesh
The state government of Madhya Pradesh has launched a new scheme named as “Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana” (Price Deficit Financing Scheme) to hedge price risks in agriculture sector. The objective of the scheme is to provide the compensation for agriculture products whenever its price fall below the announced minimum support prices (MSP) by the central government.
Initially, the government has extended the compensation for eight crops including oil seeds and some pulses etc. The farmers will have to register themselves with mandis to leverage the benefits of Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana.
For registration under the scheme at mandis, farmers would have to share their Aadhaar no., bank account details and mobile number and all details of crop cultivation. The enrollments for the Mukhyamantri Bhavantar Yojana would start from 11 September and the compensation will be transferred directly in the bank accounts of the farmers.

Mukhyamantri Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana

Through the scheme, the government will encourage the farmers to cultivate more oil seeds and pulses products in the state. However, the government will construct the commission which recommend to the intervention in the market price for horticulture crops.
According to the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana, If the selling price of a agriculture product is more than the notified price but less than the MSP, the difference between their selling price and the MSP will be deposited directly in their bank account. If the farmer’s selling price is less than the notified price, the farmer will get the difference between the notified price and the MSP.

8 Crops Covered Under Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana

According to the official notification, around 6.5 million farmers across the state has been identified who cultivate oil seeds and pulses products across the state and may enroll under this scheme. Additionally, in 2018, the government can extend the coverage for more crops like horticultural crops under this scheme.
MSP is a good initiative by the union government to support the farmers and reduce the financial risks for the farmers with growing commercialization in agriculture sector.

3. Krishak Udhyami Yojana Loan Scheme for Farmers’ Children in Madhya Pradesh
The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh has announced a loan scheme named as “Krishak Udhyami Yojana”, an entrepreneurship scheme for the children of farmers. This scheme will provide loan facilities to the children of farmers and their wards at affordable rates. The loans would be provided to the youth to setup custom processing centers for the agriculture produce. The processing centers would help farmers clean their produces and get it graded for price addition.
Under the Krishak Udhyami Yojana, the state government will provide loan facilities to the farmers’ sons and daughters from Rs. 10 lakh to Rs 2 crore with 15% grant. This scheme is also providing 5% grant on interest for 5 years. In state, around three fourth of the population is engaged in agriculture and allied activities.

Benefits of the Krishak Udhyami Yojana

  1. This scheme will reduce the financial burden on the farmers and their children.
  2. The state govt. will provide remunerative price for certain crops.
  3. Scheme will generate more employment opportunities for the youth in the state.
  4. Krishak Udhyami Yojana would increase the income of farmer individuals across the state.
  5. It reduces the need for migration from rural to urban regions.
The state government is encouraging the youth to get loan with the help of banks to setup their own custom processing centers. These centers will help the farmers to clean their produce and grade with the price addition. For the establishment of custom processing centers, the state govt. will provide 40% grant on a loan up to Rs. 25 lakh.
In the first phase of the scheme, Government is planning to set up 1000 such centers.
The entrepreneurship not only create investment and employment opportunity, it also helps the farmers to reconcile with the farming techniques. The scheme will also bring innovation to improve yields per hectare in agriculture land.
In India, a larger number of farmers are still dependent on age-old farming techniques despite the new technologies are available in the market. This scheme will provide opportunities for the youths to bring more technologies in agriculture sectors on the needs of farmers.
The successful implementation of Krishak Udhyami Yojana loan scheme will improve the efficiency and productivity in agri – business sector like food processing and packaging, preservation of seasonal fruits and vegetables, seed processing, flower farming etc.

4. Mukhyamantri Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana in MP to be Launched Soon
The state government of Madhya Pradesh is planning to launch a new scheme named as “Mukhyamantri Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana” for the welfare of farmers across the state and to encourage them for better future prospects in agriculture. The announcement of the scheme has been made by the CM of Madhya Pradesh however the actual date of launch is not yet decided.
According to the official notification, thousands of farmers are committing suicide annually in the state. The main reasons behind the suicide of farmers are climate change, low price of production, delay process of administration and debts etc. To prohibit and bring down in the rate of suicide cases of farmers, the state govt. is considering to frame a new scheme Mukhyamantri Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana.
Under the Mukhyamantri Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana, the state government would pay the difference between selling price (at mandis) and the remunerative price into farmers’ bank accounts.

Objectives of Mukhyamantri Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana

The main objective of the scheme is to provide financial help to the farmers and bringing down the suicide rate eventually to zero in coming times. Apart from the financial help, the Mukhyamantri Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana also aims to provide help to the farmers for several cases of disputes and ensure that all the cases are addressed within 90 days of first reporting.
The government through the scheme also aims to encourage the farmers to produce certain pulses, oilseed and horticulture crops in their fields.

Mukhyamantri Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana – Highlights

Below are the main highlights of the scheme
  • The scheme will ensure that farmers get the beneficial value of their product.
  • The difference between the support price and the price of sale (at mandis) will be deposited directly into farmers’ bank accounts by the state government.
  • The crop Girdavari mobile app will compile the data regarding the farmers and their produces.
  • The remunerative prices of crop will be suggested by the Madhya Pradesh Krishi Utpad Lagat and Vipanan Aayog.
  • The scheme will ensure that the cases like partition, demarcation of land and the undisputed cases related to mutation to be addressed within three months.
  • However, if the farmers claims that after three month their case is still pending despite it being undisputed, the government will give reward to that farmer and the amount of reward will be deducted from the concerned employee and punitive action also will be taken against the employee of the department.
In Madhya Pradesh, agriculture sector leads in the production of farm product like grain, linseed, green pea etc. The state govt. is also expanding areas under cultivation of safflower and sunflower. It becomes imperative to provide sufficient space for vitality of farmers for yielding production by state government.
Mukhyamantri Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana is not launched yet, the scheme contours are still being finalized, once the scheme is launched, all the details would be updated here.

5. Shala Siddhi Prohatsan Yojana Implemented by Madhya Pradesh Govt.
MP state government is implementing many schemes in education sector such as ‘Shala Siddhi Prohatsan Yojana’, ‘Hamari Shala Kaisi Ho’ and ‘Shala Siddhi Karyakram’ to improve the quality of education in schools. Under these schemes state govt. has fixed a time table for award process to perform well at district level.
The Shala Siddhi Prohatsan Yojana has been started in 25,000 govt. schools of the State to provide qualitative education to the students.This yojana would encourage the teachers to join the govt schools by recognizing their best work.
According the Census of India, In 2011, literacy rate of Madhya Pradesh is 70.6 per cent as compared to 63.7 per cent in the year 2001. During the last decade the rise in literacy rate of Madhya Pradesh is 6.9 percentage points. Female and male literacy rates in 2011 are 60.0 per cent and 80.5 per cent respectively.
The Framework of these scheme has been prepared for evaluation and improvement of government schools by National University of Education Planning and Administration New Delhi under the Human Resources Development Ministry, Government of India.

Objective of Shala Siddhi Prohatsan Yojana

  • The district core committees will be required to form block-level selection committee by 22 July
  • The district core committee will be required to select 3 primary and middle school
  • The selected school will be required to forward their applications for Shala Siddhi Karyakram to Sankul principals by 28 July.
  • The chosen school will be awarded on Teacher’s Day, on 5 September.

6. Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana Online Registration at scholarshipportal.mp.nic.in
The state govt. of Madhya Pradesh has launched a new scheme named Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana 2017. Online registrations for the scheme are being done through the official website scholarshipportal.mp.nic.in. This is a scholarship program for the year 2017-2018. Till now 18,404 students have registered themselves under the scheme.
Under the Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana, state govt. has fixed the criteria for students to avail the benefit of scheme. The Technical Education Department has the responsibility to get the students fee amount approved from the government.

Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana Online Registration

  • Visit the official website of MP Technical Education Department at mptechedu.org or visit scholarshipportal.mp.nic.in.
  • Click on “Apply Online” button.
  • The application/registration form will appear on the screen.
  • Enter all required details in the registration form.
  • The click on “Submit” button.
  • After clicking the “Submit” button, your registration is successful, download the printable form from the next screen.
  • After downloading the form, take a print out of the form for further use.

Eligibility Criteria for Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana

  • The student must belong to Madhya Pradesh state.
  • The annual income of the student’s parents should be less than Rs. 6 lakh.
  • The student should have obtained 75 per cent or more marks in 12th Board examinations conducted by Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education.
  • The students securing 85 per cent or more in 12th Board examinations conducted by CBSE/ICSE.
  • The student’s Aadhar number is also required.

Benefit of Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana

Students obtaining up to 50,000 rank in the Engineering – JEE mains examinations would also be eligible for admission to Government or non-Government engineering colleges. Entire fees of Government college will be provided under the scheme. In private colleges, Government will bear maximum of Rs. 1.5 lakh or the actual fees, whichever is lower. The fee would be excluding the Mess fee and caution money in both govt. and private colleges.

7. Ruk Jana Nahi Scheme to Aid Failed Students of Class 10th and 12th
The Madhya Pradesh govt. is implementing Ruk Jana Nahi yojana for failure students. The scheme would provide an opportunity to about 22,000 of Classes 10th and 12th students who failed in the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education Examination March 2017 to pursue higher education.
The state govt. has given surprise for students who have not succeeded in first time under Ruk Jana Nahi Yojana. Those students will be given one more chance in the month of November and December. The process of enrolment for this scheme would be start in the first week of August. The students who pass the exam will be assisted to get admission to pursue further classes.
According to the figures released by state open schools, only 11% of Class 10 students and 43% of Class 12 students who appeared in the second attempt have been able to pass the exam.

Ruk Jana Nahi Scheme in Madhya Pradesh

About 85,000 students of both the classes had enrolled in the Madhya Pradesh State Open School (MPSOS) under “Ruk Jana Nahi” in academic exam 2017. Of these, a total of 21,938 students were passed in the exam. As per figures, nearly 4,198 students of Class 10th and 17,740 students of Class 12th succeeded in their second chance.
Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education, had launched the yojana ‘Ruk Jana Nahi’ last year. This step has been taken by the state government to curb increasing number of incidents of student suicides in the state.
Last year around 1.73 lakh students of Class 10 and 12, who failed in the MP Board of Secondary Education examinations in two or more subjects had enrolled under the scheme. After the enrollment, the failed students get another chance to write exam.
Ruk jana Nahi scheme is receiving a good feedback from parents. Students are also very happy that they got another chance to attempt the exam and save one year of their academic life.

8. Medhavi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana MP – 18k+ Laptops to be Distributed in 2017
Medhavi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana, a scheme being run by Madhya Pradesh government would benefit more than 18 thousand students in 2017. Under the scheme, state government is providing Rs. 25000 to purchase new laptops to students securing high marks in higher secondary examination. Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh would distribute free laptops to such students on 28th June in Bhopal.

Medhavi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana – Eligibility

Under the Medhavi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana, students securing over 85% in the secondary examination are eligible to get free laptop. Students belonging to SC/ST communities needs to secure at least 75% marks to be eligible for the scheme. The household income of the beneficiary student should not be more than Rs. 6 Lakh.
The school education department of Madhya Pradesh is running the scheme since 2009. The government in 2017 would provide financial assistance 18,578 students from both government and private schools to buy laptops for their higher studies. Last year, Rs. 44.74 crore were distributed to 17,896 students for purchase of laptops.
Under the Medhavi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana in Madhya Pradesh, some other benefits are also being provided such as free coaching for preparation of national level entrance examinations.

10. Young Professionals Development Programme Announced in MP
Young Professionals Development Programme is a new initiative of Madhya Pradesh government to generate innovative ideas for government running development programmes and schemes. Under the CM Young Professionals Development Programme, the state government will hire those youngsters who are well experienced.
After watching the successful reports of such programme running in Maharashtra and Haryana, the MP cabinet has taken a decision to launch the programme in their state.

Eligibility Criteria for Young Professionals Development Programme

To be eligible for the programme, the youngsters must fulfill the criteria given below
  • The age of candidate should be up to 35 years
  • The candidates applying for the programmes should have an experience of at least six years.
  • The professionals for YPDP would be hired through the government-run School of Good Governance.
  • The eligible candidates would directly report to the CM to get involvement.
The programme would definitely help government improve its development programmes, welfare schemes and policies for the betterment of the state residents. The young mind of the state youth will also generate better and innovative ideas for the implementation of the government programmes as per the current requirements.
