2).NKDA Bicycle Sharing Scheme to be Launched Soon in Kolkata

The New Town Kolkata Development Authority (NKDA) is going to launch a new scheme NKDA Bicycle Sharing Scheme soon in the state. This scheme will be helpful to provide better mile connectivity to the people of the state. The cycle under this scheme will be at a app based on GPS. The cycles will have an automatic locking system so there will be no fear of theft of cycles and the users will have to pay charge to the service provider for the bicycle.

Users will be able to access and use bicycles from any place where any such bicycles are found parked within the premises of NKDA in the whole state.

NKDA Bicycle Sharing Scheme Details

Here are the details and the highlights of Kolkata Bicycle Sharing Scheme.

• The people can take the facility of cycle and can par it in premises of NKDA in whole state under this scheme.
• Under this scheme the people can book cycles using a mobile app which will be launched soon.
• NKDA will arrange vacant public spaces at different locations to park bicycles and no space will be allowed for making any structure whether permanent or temporary.
• The arrangement will generally be for five years.
• The service provider will arrange the required number of bicycles, manpower and other technological support to run the scheme.

The state government of West Bengal will start this scheme in Kolkata and after that it will be started in the whole state.

3).Scholarship for Children of Beedi/Cine Workers in West Bengal

West Bengal government launches scholarship scheme for the children of Beedi & Cine workers of the state. The Labour Welfare Organisation under the Union Labour and Employment Ministry has decided to give scholarships annually to the children of identified Beedi and Cine workers in West Bengal. Under this scheme, the state government of West Bengal will provide financial assistance to the children annually.

Here is the eligibility criteria for Scholarship for Children of Beedi/Cine Workers. parents of the students should be Beedi, Iron Ore Manganese & Chrome Ore Mines, Limestone & Dolomite Mines, Cine worker with 

• Parents of the students should be Beedi, Iron Ore Manganese & Chrome Ore Mines, Limestone & Dolomite Mines, Cine worker with at least six months service.
• Contract/Gharkhataworkers are also included in this scheme.

Documents Required for  Scholarship for Children of Beedi/Cine Workers

Required documents for the scholarship.

• Photo
•  Copy of the Identity card of the worker (Form B Register Number in case of Mine workers).
• Copy of front page of Bank Pass Book or Cancelled Cheque(which should contain
  details of the account holder/beneficiary)
• Passing Certificate/Mark Sheet of previous Academic Year
•  Income Certificate issued by the Revenue Authority

The state government of West Bengal will provide the benefit to 1 Lakh students of Beedi, Iron Ore Manganese & Chrome Ore Mines.

4).Online Application for Incentive of Inter Caste Marriage in West Bengal

West Bengal government provides an incentive for inter-caste marriage in the state. The incentive for a legal inter-caste marriage is Rs.2.50 lakh per marriage. On receipt of a Pre-Stamped Receipt on a Ten Rupee Non-Judicial Stamp Paper the total amount of incentive will be released to the eligible couple in a single installment through RTGS / NEFT to the joint account of the couple. To have this great initiative in West Bengal under of PCR Act 1955 Government of India has announced a scheme for the encouragement of Inter-Caste Marriage.

How to Apply for Incentive of Inter-Caste Marriage in West Bengal

Here are steps for the online application of inter-caste marriage in West Bengal.

• For online registration for incentive of Inter-Caste Marriage in West Bengal, the applicant has to visit anagrasarkalyan.gov.in
• Now the applicant has to click at ICM Online Application of Incentive for Inter Caste Marriage at the right side on top of the page.
• Now the applicant has to fill Following Details in the form.

The application is submitted to the Department dealing with the Welfare of Scheduled Caste in the respective States/UTs and the State Government may forward the same to the Director, Dr. Ambedkar Foundation, 15, Janpath, New Delhi-110001 with their recommendations.

Eligibility Criteria for  Incentive of Inter-Caste Marriage in West Bengal

• Both the bride and groom should be citizen of India and one of the spouse must belong to scheduled caste and both of them should have the domicile of  West Bengal. The candidate shall not hold any benefit under the similar scheme. This scheme is for those candidates where one spouse belongs to SC and the other is non-SC/ST/OBC or General
•  The grant will be given to those couples who are going for first marriage only.
•   The eligible couples can apply for this incentive after 1 year for their date of marriage.

5).Samajik Suraksha Yojana West Bengal- Merge of 5 Social Security Schemes

Samajik Suraksha Yojana – West Bengal government introduces Samajik Suraksha Yojana to merge 5 social security schemes. CM Mamta Banerjee launches Samajik Suraksha Yojana. Around 5 crore people will be benefitted with the introduction of Social Security Yojana with around 1 crore direct beneficiaries. People will take more benefits with the introduction of the new one compared to that of the previous five different schemes.

• Social Assistance Scheme of Provident Fund for the unorganized worker.

Under Samajik Suraksha Yojana Samajik the beneficiaries from 46 unorganized sectors like bidi workers, construction workers, would get assistance for education of their children, health benefits including their family members, in cases of death and disability besides provident fund.

• Samajik Suraksha Yojana is to ensure distribution of nutritional food among pregnant women, lactating mothers, children below six years and adolescent girls.

• This scheme will cover five separate beneficiary schemes for workers in unorganized sectors and self-employed people.

6).Government Bus Mobile App West Bengal soon to be Launch

What is Government Bus Mobile App

In west Bengal an app for buses has been launched by state government. Through this app the status of the bus & the information of seats can be retrieved by the passengers.

Thus the decision for launching an app for bus has been taken for the benefits of people and the passengers of the state. Complete information about the buses would be provided online to the passengers through this app. The state government of west Bengal will launch this app on 21 Jan. 2017. Any passenger can get a details about their seats.
The seats can be booked by the passengers.
This app will help people to know where the bus is or which bus is stopped.
