His party-mate Arjun Munda is the longest-serving chief minister—over five years, across three terms. Two chief ministers come from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), namely Shibu Soren and his son Hemant Soren.

1).Mukhyamantri Swasthya Beema Yojana (MSBY) in Jharkhand Launching on 15th November

Mukhyamantri Swasthya Beema Yojana (MSBY) is a new health insurance scheme in the state of Jharkhand which will be launched on 15th November 2017. The state government of Jharkhand will implement the Swasthya Beema Yojana from 28th December 2017 to provide health insurance coverage to the state residents.
The government is preparing to launch the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme on 15th November. The scheme will provide benefits to about 57 lakh families in the state who are covered under the National Food Security Act. The government would provide free and cashless treatment to the poor families under the scheme.
The government may not take any premium from the poor people of the state and bear the full premium. The treatment under the Mukhyamantri Swasthya Beema Yojana would be available at all the government hospitals and empaneled private health institutions. The government will also enlist the popular and well-known hospitals and nursing homes at its border line and neighboring states for free and cashless treatment under the scheme.

Benefits Under Mukhyamantri Swasthya Beema Yojana (MSBY)

The state government would provide health insurance coverage to the state residents, especially families belonging to the economically weaker section of the society under the MSBY scheme.
Under the scheme, Rs. 50,000 has been provisioned for secondary care and Rs. 2 lakh for special care, Rs. 30,000 for senior citizens of additionally covered class. The government would provide health cards to the beneficiaries and the whole system would be cashless.
The MSBY scheme, once implemented would be of great help to the state residents especially those who are not able to afford today’s costly treatments.

2.)Jharkhand Govt. Distributed 20,051 Pucca Houses Under PMAY to Homeless People

The State government of Jharkhand has distributed 20,051 pucca houses to poor household of state under central government’s flagship housing scheme Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). The beneficiaries has received the houses from the state government with all the facilities like electricity, toilets and water. Gas cylinders and ovens are also provided in these houses by the govt.
According to the notification, these newly constructed houses will be registered in the name of women head of the household. The government has approved around the construction of about 91,000 houses in the state under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) – Urban. The Jharkhand state govt. celebrated Grih Pravesh Diwas on Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October 2017.
The Jharkhand government would also soon approve the construction of 1.27 Lakh homes in the state under the PM Awas Yojana.

These 20,051 houses have been constructed with a plinth area of 30 sqm for each beneficiary. The PMAY houses are being designed and constructed with all basic residential amenities. The house will have two rooms, a kitchen and a toilet. The construction cost of house is around Rs. 3.57 lakh.
Out of total cost of house, the state government will provide Rs. 75,000 while Rs. 1,50,000 would be provided by the Central government. Rest of the amount which is Rs. 1.33 lakh would have to be paid the bye beneficiary itself. In addition, within a month, all the houses under the scheme will get power and water connection while BPL households would get LPG connection too.
The state government has also announced 41 cities open defection free (ODF) across the state.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY)

PMAY is an centrally sponsored housing scheme which was launched in 2015 by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation is operating and formulating all the procedures regarding the implementation of housing scheme in urban areas. The list of PMAY beneficiaries is being prepared from the SECC-2011 data based on several factors including income of the household.
The objective of the scheme is to provide affordable and eco – friendly houses to all the homeless citizens by the year of 2022.

3).Gyanodaya Scheme – Free Tablet Scheme for Teachers in Jharkhand

The state government of Jharkhand has launched “Gyanodaya Scheme” for schools teachers. The objective of this scheme is to distribute tablets to teachers of 40 thousand schools across the state.
The chief Minister of Jharkhand has introduced Gyanodaya scheme at the occasion of the Teachers’ Association of Honor organized at the Panabhatta Stadium. A tablet will be given to teachers to carry out their work online anywhere at any time.

The aim of this scheme is not only the real time monitoring of schools but it will also help in knowing online the learning outcomes of children. Through online software, teachers, children’s attendance, drop out, mid- day meal etc. will be monitored online by the department of education, Jharkhand.
The NITI aayog has decided to develop the School Education Quality Index to measure the results of the schools across the country. This scheme will also help to measure the performance of school management. Many schemes are also being included to check the activity of schools like e-Vidyavahini, e-mid-day meals and teachers’ English training programs etc.
Recently, the cabinet has given its approval for the Gyanodaya Scheme with the cost of Rs. 63 crores and 60 Lakhs. These scheme will empower the teachers to become a good learner. Through the tablet, the teachers will keep learning new things all the time and acquiring knowledge from different online sources.

4).CM Health Insurance Scheme Launching Soon in Jharkhand

The State Government of Jharkhand is planning to introduce ‘CM Health Insurance Scheme’ on September 25. The main initiative of the scheme is to provide health insurance facilities to the citizens of Jharkhand.
CM health insurance scheme will be implemented in all districts of Jharkhand. The state government has also introduced a special campaign in four districts of Santhal Pargana (Dumka, Sahebganj, Pakur and Godda) to eradicate Kala-azar.
The aim of the Jharkhand State Government is to provide quality health care services, particularly for those peoples who are living in the remote and difficult areas in order to reduce number of diseases.
The scheme is also expected to lessen the burden on state residents and help them get better treatments.

Objectives of CM Health Insurance Scheme

·         The government will setup more centres under the CM Health Insurance Scheme across the state.
·         These centres would be helpful for the people to understand the scheme.
An awareness campaign has been started in at least five villages by the students of Kasturba Girls Residential schools to generate hype among the people. Under the campaign, One lakh rupees prize money would be given to the school which will show effective results under this scheme.
The guidelines for the operations and implementation of CM Health Insurance scheme is being prepared by the health ministry. The health ministry will soon start the process of selection of the insurance companies and hospitals for the scheme.
The scheme will be applicable in all Government and private hospitals across the state. The insurance policy will cover treatment, investigations and medications and other facilities regarding of diseases in the hospitals.

5).Jharkhand Free Smartphone Scheme for Panchayat Workers

Chief Minister of Jharkhand has announced a new free smartphones scheme for panchayat workers. The state government would provide free smartphones to panchayat swayam sevak under the scheme. The smartphones under the new scheme would be distributed on the lines of mobile phones distributed by the PM among members of Sakhi mandals in Sahibganj in April.
The announcement of the smartphones scheme for panchayat workers was made during a Panchayat Swayam Sevak’s meet “Sarkar Aapke Dwar” at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Dhurva. The state minister for rural development urged the CM to launch such a scheme for Panchayat workers.
The main objective of the smartphone scheme is to empower the Panchayat Swayam Sevak’s with the digital technology. The smartphones scheme would help Panchayat Workers seamlessly connect and communicate with the government departments.
The Panchayat Swayam Sevaks would also be paid for their contribution in the implementation of central government’s flagship housing scheme “Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana” in the state. The state government would build 2.2 Lakh houses in the state under PMAY-Urban.

Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) is inviting applications for demand survey for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban. The application forms for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana demand survey in Ranchi can be downloaded from the official website of Ranchi Municipal Corporation at ranchimunicipal.com.
RMC has launched a demand survey for the PMAY and inviting applications from interested eligible candidates. The state government of Jharkhand will provide affordable houses to urban poor beneficiaries of the scheme under PMAY.

PMAY Ranchi Flat Details

Flats under PMAY in Ranchi would be constructed in Edalhatu in Bundu, Ranchi, HEC and Valmiki Nagar. RMC has selected about 150 slums which will be covered under the first phase of PMAY. 300 and 700 square foot homes would be constructed under the scheme in Ranchi.

Eligibility Criteria

Following candidates are eligible to apply for PMAY demand survey in Ranchi.
– People living in Ranchi from at least 2015.
– People having a valid residential proof of Ranchi such as rental slips or any other govt. authorized residence proof.
– Annual income as below
– For type 1 flats – Not more than 3 Lakh
– For type 2 flats – Between 3 to 6 Lakh

7).PTG Dakia Yojana – Free Rice Scheme for Primitive Tribal Group in Jharkhand

The state government of Jharkhand has announced a free rice scheme named as PTG Dakia Yojana for providing free rice to PTG families. The scheme will provide benefits to the 70,000 (Primitive Tribal Group) PTG families by providing them food grain at their door-steps under PTG Dakia Yojana.

Under the PTG Dakia Yojana, a free rice scheme under which Primitive Tribal Group families will be provided a packet of 35 kg rice every month. The door to door distribution of rice packets will be handled by the employees of Food and Civil Supplies Department.
The government has formally launched the free rice scheme in three districts including, Godda, Sahebganj and Palamu. The above areas are selected for the launch of the scheme because they have a relatively higher concentration of PTGs. On an average, every district in Jharkhand have about 5,000 PGT families but in these districts, the average number of PGT families is about 7,000.

Within the month, the scheme will be started for benefiting PTG families in all districts of the state. Women self-help groups will manage the work of creating rice packets which would help to make them financially strong.
Total 32 tribal groups are living in Jharkhand state of which only eight group have been categorized as PGTs including, Asur, Birhor, Paharia (Baiga), Sabar, Birajiya, Korwa, Mal Pahariya and Souriya Paharia.
As per the information, these selected PGTs are low on literacy and the average monthly income of these families is Rs 1,000 or even less. Usually, these families remain aloof from the usual settlements. Under the scheme, the government would give them only rice, and not wheat, as that is what the PTGs prefer in their diet.

8).Bal Garib Samridhhi Yojana in Jharkhand for Mothers and New Born Infants

Bal Garib Samridhhi Yojana is a new scheme announced by the chief Minister of Jharkhand for the welfare of mothers and newborn infants. The scheme was announced by the chief minister while addressing the Eastern Zone Conference organized by Jharkhand High Court and the Women and Child Development Department on 11th February.

Anyone would be able to contribute to the scheme. The details of the scheme has not been revealed yet because the scheme is not launched yet. The state government is working to build child reform homes and rehabilitation centers in Ranchi and Gumla where they would provide skill development training which would help to check migration among children. This would cost around Rs. 23 crore and will be borne by the government itself.
Model child reform homes has been constructed in Ranchi and Jamshedpur and the work is under progress at other child reform centers. Through a video conferencing, around 115 cases of juvenile justice were taken up of which around 17 cases were disposed off. Video conferencing facility would be provided at Hazaribagh child reform centers.
Panchayat Secretariat would conduct a survey regarding the number of orphan children in the area and these orphan children would later be admitted at these rehabilitation centers where they would be provided training and education for better future.
Besides the announcement of Bal Garib Samridhhi Yojana, the government has also announced that new welfare schemes for betterment and upliftment of villages, poor, farmers and tribal will also be launched soon.

9).Free Mobile Scheme for Women Entrepreneurs in Jharkhand

The state government of Jharkhand has announced a free mobile scheme for Women Entrepreneurs in the state. The Jharkhand government would distribute 1 Lakh free smartphones to women Entrepreneurs under the scheme. The scheme would be aimed at boosting Digital India initiative. Chief minister of Jharkhand Mr. Raghubar Das announced the free mobile scheme for one lakh women entrepreneurs.
Women Entrepreneurs are the backbone of the rural economy in the state and the free mobile scheme will help digitization of the state and making it a cashless economy. The government wants to prepare 4,80,000 women entrepreneurs and strengthen them.
The chief minister also announced Tejaswini scheme and Johar scheme of Rs. 600 crore and Rs. 1400 Crore respectively. Under the Tejaswini Yojana, girls between 14-24 age groups will be strengthened with the help of World Bank. Girls would be provided informal education to inspire them about higher education. The government may also build skill centers under the scheme if required.
After the girl beneficiaries complete their education, they will be provided a promotion amount of Rs. 10000. The amount will be directly transferred to their saving bank accounts.
The state government through the free mobile scheme aims to make the women digitally literate and economically strong.

10).Udyami Sakhi Mandal Yojana to Empower Rural Women in Jharkhand

Jharkhand Government is planning to launch a new scheme named as Udyami Sakhi Mandal Yojana to empower the rural women in the state. The announcement of the new scheme for women was made by the chief minister Raghubar Das while addressing the gathering in Jamshedpur during the 43rd Rajim Lochan Mahotsav at Sidhgora Town Hall.
The scheme will empower rural women by providing them financial assistance to start their own small businesses. Under the scheme a group of 15 women can set up small industries which in turn would increase their annual income and get become financially strong.
Chief Minister has also appealed to the public not to discriminate between boy and girl and provide education to both. The state government would also provide financial assistance to those who are not able to teach their children due to lack of money.
The Udyami Sakhi Mandal Yojana has not been launched yet, hence no detailed information is available, more details would be available only after the scheme is officially launched.
